Last saturday, I found a new way to entertain the girls. Both Lizzie and Sophie had been getting bored with the normal play area and sitting on the floor with books. I tried something new, putting them in baskets. We have many baskets in our house since they make for good grocery carriers, clothes hampers, and toy storage units. However, now we can add another role they play in our lives: holder of babies

Rain
The vast expanse of acacia trees that surrounds our house is turning green. We praise God because last week we received what will hopefully be the beginning of the short rain season. Tender blades of grass are already appearing to the delight of cattle, goats, and sheep alike. We continue to pray for other parts of Kenya which are suffering from drought. Najile however is celebrating the rain, a blessing from God.
