Conservation Agriculture
During my break for Christmas I decided to start a garden using a technique called Conservation Agriculture (or Farming God's Way, which I think is a little presumptuous). Basically the idea is to minimize inputs (like fertilizer and sprays), maximize rain water (through heavy mulching) and work with care. The end result is often increased yields in even marginal growing areas. Check out this website to learn more about the basic principles: www.farming-gods-way.org
