Still Alive

Hello Everybody,
Yes we are still alive and well in Kenya! For the last week or so things have been a little busy and our faithful internet cafe has been "down." So now, thanks to the grace of our friends Nate and Jill we are on their computer to check email etc... Since we last checked in we have been to:
1. A 5 hour good friday service
2. A wedding which started 3 hours late
3. The Kenya Revenue Authority multiple times
4. The Langata Giraffe Center
5. Some Home Group meetings
6. Our semi-completed house
7. A major market (haggling included)
8. Many more language lessons

Hopefully we'll soon have time to comment on all these things, but for now, rest assured that things are going well. A major joy has been our re-learned ability to cook well. Recent dishes have included sweet and sour chicken and lentils, homemade bread, chili, brownies, fried rice, and more brownies (we now have 5 boxes in our pantry). Keep praying for rain, as Maasailand has continued to struggle through drought with many people living on next to nothing. Pictures and stories to come soon!

It sounds like you guys are keeping very busy-there's lots to do and plenty to learn! Steph, I just wanted to touch base with you-I miss you at AGI! Hope that all continues to go well...and that it will rain soon! The weather here is up and down-warm this weekend in the 70s but going down to high 40s and rain the next two days! Enjoy your days and keep the journals going! Kathy Mantell
